My Latest Creation Obsession: Modern Friendship Bracelets

I remember making friendship bracelets when I was a child. My sister and I had thread in every color and tried different designs. It was fun and it was just something girls of our generation did as children.  Eventually we outgrew it, that was until now. I came across a friendship bracelet that had a chain incorporated into it which automatically made the bracelet more adult and trendy. I was going to order it and then I thought I could make something like this.

I went to the store and got some chunky silver toned chain, clasps and thread. I was able to get all the supplies relatively cheap.  I got home and messed around with a few different knots and things, trying to figure out what worked best and what was different, at least a little, from everything else I have seen. I ended up using a stitch I had learned in a shamballa bracelet class that I had taken and just did that stitch around the chain on each side. I was extremely happy with the outcome and everyone seems to like my newest creations. I just keep coming up with different color combinations. All I need now is time.

For anyone who is interested in purchasing my newest bracelet designs they are available for sale in my Etsy shop: Lollipop Swirlz. I am also willing to create custom bracelets if there is a color combination you do not see that you would like.
