Photoshoot With Ashley!

I had the pleasure of working with the beautiful and talented Ashley Laderer today. She helped me get some amazing photos of two of my tutus and some of my jewelry. This was my third photoshoot with Ashley and we get fabulous images every time and today was certainly no exception. We shot on the water on the north shore in the beautiful Oyster Bay Cove and we had a beautiful day for it. We walked around the whole park and managed to get a good variety of photos. Here are just a few of today's images. There are so many more that I am going through so I am sure I will have a second post about this shoot to display more of the fun photos from the day.
Every heart beats true for the red, white and blue....
Wish I could rock this red like she does!

Now it's time to get connected. You can become a fan of Ashley's Facebook page here. You can also follow her blog, fashion unicorn here. You can order the tutus seen in this post on my Etsy site: Oh So Pretty Designs. The necklace will be available on my jewelry Etsy site: Hole In Her Stocking, in a few days. Please note: my jewelry site has not yet been updated. There will be a lot more inventory updated in the next few days.
Surely a fave from the day! The water nymph!
Love working with this girl...

Multi Strand Shamballa Style Class

Getting ready to hit the road on this gorgeous day
On Friday I went to a multi strand shamballa style bracelet making class at Island Bead and Jewelry in Eastport, NY. I had previously taken a shamballa style bracelet making class there and have been making the bracelets ever since for friends and family. I was excited to learn a new variation of the bracelet everyone loves so much. I arrived early for the class to pick out the beads I wanted to use. I decided to go with pinks and whites for the summer months.
My supplies
Because I had taken a similar class previously I caught onto the technique quite quickly. I was also lucky enough to be the only one taking the class that day so I had a great one on one lesson. I was a bit disappointed that after working on the bracelet for a little over an hour it ended up being too small for my wrist. We under-estimated the length but it came out nice so I plan to give it as a gift. The good news is that I was able to go home and replicate what we did and I made the same bracelet in my size. So the class served it's purpose.

All in all I enjoyed the class and now have an awesome new bracelet that I can make. I plan on hitting up the bead stores soon to pick out some new color combinations. My head is full of ideas. If you are interested in taking a class at Island Bead you can see their class schedule on their website at: www.islandbeadandjewelry.com . It's definitely a nice fun summer activity!!

Peacock Tutu!

Love these colors!

I had been wanting to make a peacock themed tutu and finally did once I received a customer request.  I anticipate this tutu doing well especially when it gets closer to Halloween.  I think a peacock would definitely be a fun and trendy costume. I definitely want to have a bunch of costume themed tutus for Halloween this season. It seems far off but I want to have several designs and be well stocked. Time to get to work! ;)

Pink and Glitter!

One of my favorite things to make is big circle earrings out of colorful polymer clay. The possibilities are endless for these fun earrings. I make a lot of these but here is a pair I created the other day. I love hot pink for the season and I think it pairs nicely with the silver. The silver clay has glitter in it and it sparkles beautifully in the sun! I can't wait to rock these!
Rock out with these!

Bow Bracelet, Attempt 1

So I had this idea to create a 3 dimensional bow bracelet. I am totally exited about this design. For a first try I am satisfied with the outcome. I definitely have some tweaking to do but at least I know what has to be fixed. I don't like the way the three accent lines came out on each side so I think I am going to eliminate them next time around. My next bow is going to be bright colors with white cord. Totally excited to do this! I hope to have a new post with the updated version for you guys soon.
